hi

i have said mobo. i think i might have s temp sensor problem. if you have this board can you show me screenshot of HWInfo64?
i think my motherboard is missing the CPU temp reading on the motherboard. only CPU core temp i can read. this makes my cpu fan at static 1750 RPM.

Screenshot HWInfo64:  https://i.imgur.com/OvkOWDC.png" rel="nofollow - https://i.imgur.com/OvkOWDC.png  (in this screenshot i set cpu fan to be controled by core temp (Tctl/Tdie)

Thank you!

well that cpu(peci) is ghost (unused) sensor, everybody who doesnt have intel has it locked at 40C
anyway, your hwinfo64 shows that Tctl and Tdie have same sensor
soo asrock seems to did some pocket saving stuffs and forgot to make appropriate change in bios

btw your bios is latest 1.40 rite?

" rel="nofollow - thanks a lot for answering! Yes i have updated to 1.40. i bought the board and the first uefi update i do was 1.40, maybe i needed to do the beta in beween 1.0 and 1.40?

I know there should be a temp sensor integrated in the CPU (Tctl and or Tdie).
i also learned that about the CPU (PECI), everybody seems to have it. this is ok.

But there should be a CPU themp sensor on the motherboard too. thats why you can select "Temp Source" for the fan controller, options are "CPU" "Motherboard" and "CPU Tctrl".

I just found out that in HWinfo64 Sensor Settings i can enable "accept negative temps" with that enabled the CPU socket sensor shows up! but at -62,5c??? when i stress the sytem after a few minutes the -62 rise to a realistic temp (but a bit higher than Tctl).
when the system cools down it counts down to +39c and then jumps in the negative space and ends up at -62,5...

is this hardware or software error?

is removing the battery different from the cmos clear jumper? i cleared c,os 2x already?
