" rel="nofollow - I bought a Cablemod RGB strip and plugged it into my motherboard and it won't shut off through software or bios and it wont show any red color. I can get a nice aquamarine color, but that's about it. I already replaced the strips so that wasn't it. I read somewhere that you could flash the onboard RGB chip through command prompt and it may clear up problems. I already contacted asrock and they said to send it back, but I don't want to for something small like this. My motherboard is a AB350M. Can someone help me with this please?

" rel="nofollow - So, if it's small then don't worry about it.  Potentially flashing something is not an option, cause what if you break something?  Then you'd be out of warranty AND you won't be able to get it fixed.  Do it right the first time, or don't do it at all.

I RMA'd it once already and it had the same exact problem. I also bought $200 worth of LED strips and accessories assuming that it would work. I know it can be flashed and I'm sure if it failed that it would simply render the port useless and not affect actual performance. So please if anyone has knowledge on RGB chip flashing, I would much appreciate it.

u probably didnt connect it correctly
can u show us which rgb strips u have? (sku), also if u use asus adapter cable or not (it should be included in box)
otherwise wiring is different on those strips
cablemod is using +12/b/r/g
while your mobo has +12/g/r/b

Okay I created an adapter by swapping the wires on one of the extensions and it didn't fix the problem but the colors did change a little. Is there another configuration I could try?
