" rel="nofollow - I have an:
ASRock B250M-HDV mother board
Intel i5 6600
Crucial 8GB DDR4
SSD

I was able to install Windows 10 and then started installing windows updates and the screen turned off. The disk light was still flashing so I assumed the updates were progressing. After about an hour I came back to it and found the pc suspended. I powered off since I had no video and now it won't event POST and I still don't have any video. I am using the internal video. I have re-seated the RAM, SATA connectors and even tried another power supply. There is no on board speaker so I can't hear any POST codes.

Does anyone have an idea on what to try next?

List all the pieces and parts.
Clear the cmos if that doesn't work
remove everything except 1 stick of ram
If it doesn't post pull the board out of the case and try again

I can't find the pins to reset the cmos but I powered off and took the cmos battery out for 10 minutes.

I only have a cpu fan and it starts.

I put too much thermal paste on the cpu so some came out the sides but not too bad. I verified the paste was non-conductive So I'm not sure that is an issue. I cleaned it with alcohol and tested again but still no POST.
