" rel="nofollow - Hi there,

About to build a system based on the AB350 Pro4 motherboard and Ryzen 7 1700.  I plan to leave the CPU at stock and pair it with two sticks of G.Skill 8GB 3200 CL14 B-die RAM.

I saw the sticky post (http://forum.asrock.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=8154&title=summit-bristol-ridge-users-please-read) that indicated that BIOS versions 4 and above should be avoided for 1st gen Summit Ridge CPUs as they are causing issues.  In light of that I was wondering what the best stable BIOS version is for this config?    I see version 3.4 is the last 3 series BIOS version so was planning on updating to that unless there are other recommendations.

Thanks!

Paul

P.S. Couldn't get the link to insert properly so pasted plain text

If you are running stock, you can run the 4.xx series bios without any problems.  Overclocking and higher speed memory may not work.  YMMV though.  Since you are buying your motherboard so late in the game, it'll more than likely have a 4.xx bios on it.  Leave it as is.

OK thanks!  I guess I can always downgrade if I have an issue.
