" rel="nofollow - I have a brand new H370M Pro 4 motherboard with a WD Blue M.2 512GB drive.  The drive is not detected in the BIOS, nor is it detected by Windows during installation.

I have followed the guidance in the pinned post, "How to install Windows on a PCIe SSD," to no avail.

The M.2 drive detects and works fine in another PC.

I read another post about another model motherboard and a beta BIOS firmware resolved the problem; perhaps there is a beta firmware for this board, too?

Any ideas?  Thanks!

Where do you see version 5?  Latest I see is 3.10:

Problem solved.  Ended up using the other M.2 slot and all is well.

Dear Bommerts,

Thank you for choosing ASRock.

H370M Pro4 has two M.2 slots, M2_1 only supports PCIe type M.2 SSD, M2_2 supports PCIe and SATA type M.2 SSD.

Because you are using SATA type M.2 SSD, please connect to the M2_2 slot.

Thank you!

Yours truly,

ASRock TSD

Dear ASRock TSD!

I have M.2 drive inserted into M2_2 slot, it is seen in BIOS under AHCI mode, however, both Windows 10 and Windows 7 install process requires addditional drivers. Which drivers should I copy to USB key?

Dear Marko Siroki,

Thank you for contacting us.

Which SSD are you using?
Windows 10 can be installed at SATA type and NVMe type SSD without any additional driver.

Thank you!
Yours truly,
ASRock TSD
