Just finished building new computer. Had everything hooked up and motherboard just flickers for a split second when I turn the psu on. Power button on the case doesnt turn anything on either. I took everyone out and down to only the mobo being plugged in to the psu with the correct cables (the 8 pin and larger 24 pin) and still the same thing happens. i cant figure out if its just a short or the mobo is fried. thank you for in advance for any help!

Specs: Asrock extreme4 z370

I5-8400

Corsair full tower carbide 600c

750w corsair psu

Coolermaster evo 212

Viper 16gb ddr4

UPDATE: tested it with another known working PSU to same results :-(

Having the same issue - won't power up outside the case when plugged into power supply.  Just bought a new power supply to troubleshoot - same thing happens.

Found out it was a faulty MOBO. RMA'd it and new one works just fine
