Subject: Taichi X399 new RAM issues

Hello. Today I upgraded my system's RAM to 64GB (8X8 G.Skill Flare-X 3200 dual channel) only to run into a wall. The system will not boot with the RAM set to AUTO in the BIOS or manually set to 3200. It will only boot normally when set @ 2400 (had no such problems with 4X8GB).  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

" rel="nofollow - Oh. OK. I see. So it is not supported. The model is F4-3200C14D-16GFX and in the mem qvl it says that it only supports two dimms. Is it possible that I cannot use more than two with this motherboard?

it is highly likely you can improve the situation but it will take manual setting in your bios

heres plenty of suggested settings to try on this thread ,look out for posts by the user named CHEW
hes put a lot of work in to the am4/tr4 platform

Great. Thanks. I will look into it thoroughly. (So far it seems to also work @ 2666).

no problem mate
also on that website is another guy called THE STILT he should have suggestions as well for the tr ram

in fact the stilts setting have now been used as overclcok settings in some asus bios releases

the issue your having is the extra strain on the cpu memory controller trying to run 8 sticks of ram
so it needs tweaking of settings to become stable

look out for suggestions titled 'safe' and work from there
