" rel="nofollow - Hi all, just built a new AMD PC, retired my old 3770k Intel :D It runs great but, I was wondering how come it takes long to boot into Windows? When I power the PC on the monitor goes off then back on and I would say 10-12 secs before I even hear the mobo beep. I read on Reddit that this is because this is a brand new board and maybe some bugs need to be ironed out?  But as soon as I see the Win 10 logo it almost instantly boots to my desktop. I'm still running the stock BIOS don't feel really comfortable updating to the newer 1.50. Does the new BIOS fix this slow boot issue?

Thanks.

" rel="nofollow - Newer BIOS come with greatly improved DRAM compatibility/performance, which makes booting quicker, due to "training" that seems to not exist anymore?

sounds like your board doesn't like the ram settings and does something then loads to safe defaults

can confirm this by knowing what settings you've set and what is actually running in windows

Actually I set my ram to 2933mhz, XMP profile 1 I believe in the BIOS. The ram I bought is 2933mhz and also it reports 2933 when I open CPUZ and check it says 1466.5 which x2 = 2933

I think I believe it is because of the stock BIOS, the board is pretty new, it doesn't bother me to much, I think I might wait until the next BIOS update after 1.50.
