I recently got a new m.2 nvme PCIe drive. That is when I found out that the B450M Pro4 does not have 2 nvme PCIe slots, but instead one is specifically for SATA.

After some searching I found that a newer version of the BIOS should have an option to force the SATA slot to support PCIe and so I upgraded to the newest version. However, after upgrading, I could not find the option in the BIOS settings.

System specs:
- Motherboard: Asrock B450M Pro4
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 3 3200G

I'm having the exact same issue, would love to know if you find a solution.

As I understand it, the "force" option is only for specific NVMe drives that do not negotiate properly, so motherboard stays in SATA mode. But this is only relevant on motherboards with m.2 slots that are wired for both NVMe (PCIe) and SATA.

On boards where the m.2 slot is only wired for SATA, there's nothing you can do to make NVMe drive work on that slot.
