" rel="nofollow - Hi everyone, recently i bought gtx 1060 to replace my old hd 7970. But i cannot boot with efi compatible rom enable, stuck with error code b2 all the time and need to clear cmos to boot again. With my old card everything is fine. My bios is already the latest p2.20 which release in 2012. The new card is working not DOA which I've already tested with my wife pc with old intel desktop board socket 775 with efi boot enable. There is no more bios update for my board after 2012 although the sister board asrock p67 pro3 have more recent bios update p3.30 and also some beta bios p3.25b and 3.40b than my board at asrock website bios download section, so im wondering can i use the bios file from it to update my board because it seems that the board is nearly the same minus the expansion slot configuration? Any one have an idea how to resolve this problem? Thanks for any help.

My syetem component are,

i5 3570k
8gb 1600mhz ddr3
2x hdd
700w psu
Gtx 1060 (new card)
Asrock p67 pro3 se mobo.

3 Possibility here.
1.: Your motherboard is flatout to old and does not support the 1060
2.: Your 1060 is a brick and broken.
3.: Your GPU does not Support your motherboard.

option 1 and 3 are fixable through Bios Updates for the MB or GPU but since your MB does not have anymore supported Bios you seem to be outof luck there.
Maybe if you can find a newer bios for your GPu you can update that in a friends PC.
Also option 2 can be tested in a friends PC
