Hi guys,

Q1) Whats's the difference between CPU_SOC vs. VDD_SOC ?

Q2) uefi does not show red color font warning when set below 1.4 volts. Does this means AMD quietly recommends heavy overclocking up to 1.4v and is OK? Comments? I've tried VDD_SOC 1.3 volts for one week, then revert back. So far still surviving.

Q3) Ryzen master allows VDD_SOC from 0.8 to 1.4 volts.

Now there's two different sources saying OK to go up to 1.4 volts.

 from Ryzen master

below from uefi 4.81 VDD_SOC 1.39375 volts still no red warning.

Q4) why does Ryzen master not read current VDD_SOC and timings?

Q5) why uefi allows CPU_SOC go as high as 1.55 volts?

just means its the recommended max value. now who claims that value i'm not really sure but anything over it usually needs good cooling.

Some bios even have Extreme modes that opens up beyond that

" rel="nofollow - hey gizmiz, long time no see.......

I feel like pushing my lousy CMK32GX4M2B3000C15 hynix MFR 25nm process to 3466Mhz just for once so that I can brag, hahahahahha am willing to touch the VDD_SOC 1.39375 volts just for one hour ...........

but also forcefully at the same time set CPU_SOC to 1.1 volts only just in case .........

now I don't dare yet because only have single water loop from GPU to CPU. When new 1.5 years ago, CPU temp is +5??above GPU at high load playing games in winter December, but last summer CPU +15??more more than before, I think the liquid coolant is dying need full swap replacement.

So, after coming winter, before enter summer next year I will add a radiator dedicated to CPU only, and change new coolant then try VDD_SOC 1.39375 volts .... may be can reach 3466Mhz, kakakakkakkk

I just found old screen capture record of auto vdd-soc and LL is auto also. First time I create comparison table: -
DRAM.... VDD_SOC....
2666Mhz 0.7875 volts (auto)
2933Mhz 1.1 volts (auto), manual set to 1.025v is 100% ok too Dram keep at 1.34v
3200Mhz 1.2 volts manual, else crash. Dram must be 1.5v+++
3466Mhz 1.3 volts failed.

If from 2933 to 3200 need to increase 0.175 volts, then to go 3466Mhz at least need to add another 0.175 volts or more.... hence 1.375 volts is about the max it recommends.....

Dam, may be AMD they knew...... they just don't want to say ......... ???

" rel="nofollow - i wouldnt try pushing hynix kits as voltage wise since they are not built like sammy's which are voltage monsters and can take a beating (based on experience)

i already gave up on 3466 on current bios

you dont change your coolants regularly? youre suppose to flush them out once in awhile although my current fluids are 7 months old i usually flush them during CNY.

based on RDC on my system SOC volts never goes above 1.1 all the way up to 3600 extreme but i have tested 1.2 with no success

personally i think something wrong with 3466 straps and why the big jump from 3200 to 3466 nothing in between?

every cpu has different mem holes
mine has 3400-3600 hole, so nothing in between will work

Thanks for replies guys, more things to consider now...... more like just forget it ....hahahahha, but I'm bored, going to play anyway.....

btw my lousy CMK32GX4M2B3000C15 could run VDDSOC 0.95 volts only at tight time 2933Mhz ,14,15,15,15,32,52,5,7,25,10,10,4,4,440,327,201,14,10,6,3,1,6,6,1,4,4,7 1T GDME

3200 and 3266 boths runs windows, youtube for a while then BSOD.

1st time water cooling for me, hence monitoring the efficiency to replace all new coolant, was also thinking next CNY change to white coolant add radiator etc.
