I got a problem with this SSD NVME. I installed it in M2_1, it will be recognised, and i can install the system, but i can't boot from the SSD, it doesn't see a valid OS installed
Storage is SAMSUNG 970 EVO 250gb

If i boot from other normal SSD, i can enter on the drive and see the files inside the NVME, but i can't boot from that new M2

System:
r5 1600
AsRock ab350 gaming k4
16 gb gskill 3200 tridentz
sandisk SSD Plus (old SSD with system)
samsung 970EVO 250gb (new SSD m2)

Possible problem: active partition. Run Disk Management and look for any partitions marked as active. Your old SSD has had OS installed, so depending on the order in which you do things your old SSD might have an active partition which screws things up when installing and booting from the Nvme drive.

Another possibility (what I would do), is to install Easybcd and create an entry for your other O.S. drive. Very easy.

" rel="nofollow - Do you see Windows Boot Manager as a boot option in your list?  Sometimes, the BIOS gets confused when the the Boot selection is set to the physical device, instead of the UEFI hardware name (Samsung EVO 970, etc)

should be a boot manager problem and the old ssd is overtaking the boot

just a quick question is the old one installed as legacy or GPT either way try installing windows with only the m.2 in the system and see will it boot.

or the lazy way is use samsung migration
