Are there any issues using DDR4 3200 in the H370m Pro4?  I got some G.Skill Ripjaws V 3200 for the same price as 2666, so I thought I might as well get that.

Thank you for your advice!

Intel H and B series chipsets do not support XMP in the same way Z series chipsets do. In other words, if the RAM is supported by your board it will work fine but it will be limited to 2666 which is the default maximum frequency supported by the CPU IMC without overclocking. If the RAM is older, it may even be limited to 2133 which was the original DDR4 spec.

Technically XMP is a form of RAM overclocking, allowing RAM to work at frequencies greater than the IMC (internal memory controller) is rated for. Intel does not allow overclocking on it's H and B chipsets.

Thanks!

I am not looking for overclocking.  I am just hoping it will work at 2666.  If I can buy 3200 at the exact same price as 2666, I'd like to do that for use in the future.

Is there any way to be sure that I can run at 2666?  Or can I check once I get the system built?
