Hi All,
I've recently installed a WD Black SN7100 on this motherboard and for some reason, it's only showing on the WD Dashboard Tool that it's only connected to a Gen 3 x4 PCIe slot, even if it's a PCIe 4.0 SSD. I'm only getting read speeds of up to 1300mbps and read speeds of up to 2300mbps. Why is this the case when the MoBo says it should support PCIe Gen 4? Any help would be appreciated. |

What CPU are you using? If it's any of the APUs (e.g. 4700G, 5700G) or APU derived CPUs (e.g. 5500, 5700), then Gen.3 makes sense, because these APUs never supported PCIe Gen.4.

5600X is Vermeer, so Gen.4 should work.
Maybe BIOS is configured to do Gen.3? No idea. |
