My last post seemed to have been deleted for no reason.. so let's try again.
I've read that there's TPM support on this board by using the LPC header. Is this correct? Can someone point me to where I can find a TPM that has the correct pin layout for the LPC header? Thanks! And if this is deleted again, can someone please tell me WHY next time.. thanks :) |

Hmm, I don't know what happened to your old post. I refuse to believe some mod might wanted to sweep something under the rug. I mean, why would they do that?
On the topic, the LPC header could be used for variety of debugging things, one of which being display of debug codes. I don't believe you could find a TPM solution for this header. But this header is called debugging for a reson. You may want to poke it a bit and see where it can lead you. Only TPM known to work for certain on these mobos is the so called fTPM. That's a TPM solution by AMD, embedded directly in the CPU. Embedded vs dedicated TPM is a long debate, but bottom line is that none of those is 100% secure. An attacker with physical access to the machine can work around these TPM solutions with relative ease. |
