I am about to put a small PC together based on this board.
Does anyone have any experience of the temperatures / cooling and noise for this board? I am going to put 2 DDR3 sticks in, and probably a passive NVidia card. My main concern is the 40mm CPU fan - how quiet and effective is this? I am toying with replacing it with a 120mm fan, and will have to play with the positioning to ensure I do not reduce the cooling to the CPU. The Tech Support guys at ASRock tell me - The maximum allowed load on that fan header is 1A. That should be more than enough for any standard fan. The case will be a - CoolerMaster Elite 130 Mini ITX Case I plan on a front 120mm slow/quiet fan to give possitive air pressure inside. The PSU will extract some air, and is a Be Quiet Pure Power 300W |
