Z97 Extreme6 Post Error 64

   First of all here's my set-up:-
MB - Z97 Extreme6
OS - Windows 10 64-Bit
Bios - P2.50
CPU - Intel i7-4790K
Cooler - NZXT Kraken X41
RAM - Corsair Vengeance Pro 32GB 1600MHz 
GPU - 2x EVGA Titan X
PSU - AX1500i
SSD - Samsung 840EVO 500GB

My system has been totally stable since I built it back in April of this year. Apart from upgrading the GPU's in the summer, I've made no hardware changes and haven't installed any new software for a few weeks.

I tried launching a game the other evening and the screen froze. The only option I had was to shut the PC down, but when I tried to reboot a few minutes later, I was stuck on a post screen with "64" showing on the MB. 

I've tried several attempts at the 10 hour CMOS clearing exercise, which on reboot gives me the option to load UEFI defaults by pressing F1, which just produces a blank screen (no MB post error though).

I'm not one of the sensible people who keeps all the packing and extras, and I'm out of my 30 day return with Amazon, so does anyone have any suggestions?

	Your board has dual BIOS, try switching to the second BIOS and seeing if that allows you to boot. If that still gives problems then you will want to try a different PSU with the system to rule out a failing power supply. You can also try removing everything from the system except 1 stick of RAM and CPU then see if you can boot off the iGPU. Edited by Xaltar - 10 Nov 2015 at 3:04pm

	Good advice thanks - just tried with an older 850w psu, no difference, then followed that by removing both gpu's, sticks of ram and all the SATA connections except the one the OS is connected to. I have no access to the BIOS/UEFI setup screen, even with a PS2 keyboard and mouse so can't do anything with the BIOS setup.

	A bad SATA cable can cause the system to fail to post so I would disconnect your HDDs too and see if you can get into the UEFI. Have you tried the second BIOS yet?

	At the bottom corner of your board near the reset and power buttons there is a little switch. Make sure you power down the system, remove the power cord then press the power button to discharge any residual power then once all the lights on the board are off and there is no power to the system at all flip the switch to its alternate position then power up the system again.

	Since you don't have the manual anymore (I'm guessing, although you can download it), this is the instructions for using and recovering the primary BIOS from the backup BIOS:

	Thanks, done all that. Now when I boot I get the ASRock post screen as I did before, but pressing F2 turns the screen blank and then 5 seconds later "B4" appears in the bottom right corner of the screen, with nothing else displayed. Also still have the 64 post error on the MoBo.

	The error code on the Dr. Debug LED is probably b4 too and according to your manual that is a problem with a USB device. Try disconnecting all USB devices other than keyboard and see if that sorts you out ;)

	OMFG!!!!! I'm such a dumbass!!! It must have been B4 all along and not 64!. THank you so much guys, and sorry for the newbie error. Now just have to work out which USB device is bad. Cheers
