hi all
Im new here. Here is what happened. I hadn't updated the bios in almost a year. Recently i discovered ryzen memory calculator. I was fiding the right numbers. To take advantage of as much performance as i can from the memory and the cpu. Well long story short. I updated the bios to 4.80 and then to 5.10 .there is when all the peoblems started. I can't oc the cpu nor the memory. It has to be at 2133MHz and the cpu at 3.6 Ghz or the pc wont post. It just recycles, resets and it boots with the default settings . My question is given that the motherboard is in bios version 5.10 can i flash 4.80 back into it? Things will be back to normal when the cpu was at 3.9Ghz and the Memory at 2800Mhz I didnt know that with new bios nulls older versions |

I suggest reading (if not already done)
https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/AMD/Ryzen_Memory_Tweaking_Overclocking_Guide And https://www.overclock.net/forum/11-amd-motherboards/1627407-asrock-x370-taichi-overclocking-thread-571.html The board is almost the same as ours. I use 1.05V for the SOC 1.370 V DRAM voltage ProcODT 68.6 ohm CR 2T and Gear Down Mode disabled for stable running 2x16 GB B-Die at 3200MHz Using the save settings with the DRAM-Calc is also not working for me. Try these settings with one RAM clock step lower. |

I can use that for next time when i can overclock. By the way what kind of ram do you have? (brand, timings and voltage) Using dram calculator, it says that the 24ohm is the setting i need Is it safe to flash a previous bios? 5.10 is causing problems i can't oc 4.80 is the previous one |

What? For ProcODT? I don't believe that. That could be a reason, why it is not working. The basics (at Zen1 time): https://community.amd.com/community/gaming/blog/2017/05/25/community-update-4-lets-talk-dram Oh, the link has changed: https://www.techpowerup.com/review/amd-ryzen-memory-tweaking-overclocking-guide/ |

Ah, now you tell which mainboard you have...
But nothing about CPU and RAM. Ok, i see Gen1 CPU and 4 Hynix MFR pieces on the picture.
I can see 53 as recommended and 48 as alternative ProcODT value. 24 Ohm are for the CAD bus block entries!
5.10 down to 4.x should be possible. |

Hello everybody! Maybe someone else is here on the forum? I bought Fatal1ty X370 Professional Gaming. Installed BIOS 5.80. But I have a ryzen 2700X. Can I return BIOS 4.80? And is it difficult or not?
