Hello I just put together a build with a thin mini-itx motherboard (asrock H81TM-ITX) and was considering to use it with a laptop 40 pin lvds display.
The problem is that when I plug the lvds cable to the lvds connector on the motherboard the computer does not start (apparently because the psu is detecting a short somewhere), while if I unplug the lvds cable and try with an external monitor with hdmi everything works. I am wondering if it's really possible to use a laptop display just by plugging the lvds cable in the lvds port on the motherboard. Am I missing something? Thanks |
