Hello while I am not new to building computers it has been over 10 years since I have built my last one. getting that out of the way I have recently purchased all new hardware to build myself a new tower and have come upon a sticky situation. I seem to not be able to get it to post or any video. I am using the APU for video

CPU/APU: Ryzen 3 3200G
MoBo: ASRock x370 killer SLI/ac
Bios: P3. 10
Ram: 2x16gb 3200 (F4-3200C16D-32GVK)
GPU: on board cpu

I seem to not be able to get it to post, there is some kind of red pulsing from underneath the asrock heat sink shroud and it seems to restart after about 30 seconds over and over again.

I have tested it with a second set of ddr 4 ram.
8 gb ddr 4 pc4-2666v-rd1-11

you need bios 5.4 or higher
your board has a bios from mid 2017 so has no idea what the 3200g cpu is or how to use it

now let me take an educated guess

you bought the x370 board from newegg ?

if so scroll thru ALL THE RECENT posts here asking for help with a dead new builds and see the COMMON denominator being the same
moron pc retailer shipping out new-OLD STOCK boards with ancient bios to decent hard working customers with latest gen cpus who then find out what they have paid there hard earned cash for what is technically useless

your options are

1) beg /borrow/steal a first gen ryzen cpu 1200/1300/1600/1700/1800 ( make sure you do NOT ORDER A 1200/1600 'AF' code cpu this will not work either) to boot the board to bios then flash the 'bridge' bios and then 5.4 or later

2) return the board to retailer and tell them they are morons and shipped a useless piece of hardware (due to old stock bios 3 years out of date)

3) contact AMD to fill out a request for a 'boot kit' this is a loaner first gen apu to enable you to boot to bios and flash a later version

none of the above are good news for yourself i know

but please bear in mind this very annoying issue is SOLELY down to a retailer with zero common sense or ability to see a large amount of customer returns due to their STUPIDITY ........

A bit pointed but I couldn't agree more. Having worked in this field for longer
than I care to admit, I would never let a board out of my workshop without updating
it to the latest BIOS version and testing it, with the CPU model the customer
purchased along with it where applicable.

Motherboards are never sealed for exactly this reason.

We (the forum community) are sorry to hear you have this issue. Let us know what
you decide to do and if you need any help.

It wasn't newegg they where out of stock but a 3rd party from amazon. They are saying they don't have the resources to assist me and if I want to get it done I will need to contact the boards maker arg!

Short Term Processor Loan Boot Kit

AMD pays for shipping the load CPU both ways, I think. Ask to be sure.
