Motherboard Asrock x370 fatality gaming k4
Old ram Gskill flarex 2400mhz New ram Corsair Vengeance CMK16GX4M1D3000C16 I bought new ram and installed it after which I started getting a 46 error. Re-installing my old ram didn't help, neither did clearing the cmos. I read in my motherboards manual that I can try re-installing both CPU and ram and then resetting cmos and trying again. I tried to remove the cooler, which has retention clips, with all my might (pressed down on the unlocked clip with some force, twisted the heat sink a little and it started loosening but the clips just didn't budge). I decided not to remove the CPU anymore and returned the clips as they were and reinstalled my originally installed ram, but now the bios error indicator isn't lighting up (the one that was reading 46) Did I kill my CPU as well? Or is the motherboard dead? All the fans work fine, and my keyboard lights up |

I've got the same problem. same motherboard. I removed my cooler so I could rearrange the fans and when i put it back together, nothing. Fans spin chipset heatsink lights up but no post.
tried all the usual stuff. pull battery ,clear cmos. No de-bug light. cpu fan spins for 30 sec then system repowers back on to the same state. |
