I've been updating my PC and replaced the Ram with Corsair Vendence pro. Its now actually running slower than the previous RAM and i've been told i need to overclock it but the motherboard isn't letting me. Can i actually do this on the asrock motherboard.

the trouble is WE cant guess what board and ram model and cpu you have

so you need to actually write the details here
ram/cpu/ exact board model AND revision number and ideally the bios version of that board

its like saying my car wont start but us not knowing what car it is

Motherboard: Model and revision
CPU: Model
RAM: Model number, eg: CMK16GX4M2B3200C16, usually printed on a sticker on the RAM itself.

Without this info we can't help you. There are numerous generations of Athlon, some
going back as far as the 1990s. The motherboard model is most helpful because
we can look up your user manual and direct you to the settings you are looking
for.
