Hello,

I have three fans:
SYS
CPU
AUX

I am able to control CPU and AUX, but not SYS. Is this intended or a fault in the motherboard?

I opened my chassis to see which header corresponds to which signal:

CPU_FAN1 = CPU (can control)
CHA_FAN1 = AUX (can control)
CHA_FAN2 = SYS (control not working)

What should I do? Is this a BIOS or HW fault?

I used both SpeedFan and F-Stream to test.

I ran into the same issue.  Are you using 3-pin or 4-pin (PWM) fans.  I found that the CHA_FAN2 pin ran at full speed for voltage but worked if using a PWM fan.  Then I found this in the on-line specifications:

"CPU_FAN1 and CHA_FAN1 can auto detect if 3-pin or 4-pin fan is in use."

I think the first two can do both but the third can only control a PWM fan.

All three are 3 pin connectors. Its so weird.. why would they even do this? I had to move my radiator fans to CPU_FAN and CHA_FAN1 and move my pump head connecter to the CHA_FAN2 (which doesnt control and runs at max always).

The problem is configuring fan profiles in BIOS. Since CPU_FAN1 responds to ? (CPU temp presumably) and the CHA_FAN1 can be configured for either motherboard or CPU. But when I set simialar fan profile settings, the CPU_FAN1 is always running at a lower speed than the CHA_FAN1 (no matter if I make it respond to motherboard or CPU temp).

It as pretty frustrating, eventually gave up and decided to use SpeedFan.
