My configuration
OS Windows 11 Pro 64-bit With all the latest and greatest updates. Bios 4.01 Processor Intel Processor 12700K RAM 64,0GB MB ASRock Z690 Extreme (CPUSocket) 25 °C Liquid Cooler 240-280mm Enermax AquaFusion Grafics XV272U (2560x1440@144Hz) 8192MBATI Radeon RX 480 Graphics (ATI) 40 °C Sorage 1863GB Intel Raid 10 Volume (RAID ) 476GB NVMe INTEL SSDPEKKW512G8 (Onbekend (SSD)) OS M2-1 1863GB Seagate ST2000DM008-2FR102 (SATA (HDD)) 37 °C 1863GB Seagate ST2000DM008-2FR102 (SATA (HDD)) 39 °C 953GB NVMe INTEL SSDPEKNU010TZ (Onbekend (SSD)) M2-2 238GB NVMe PLEXTOR PX-256M8PeGN (Onbekend (SSD)) M2-3 Optische schijven ATA ASUS DRW-24D5MT on Sata 0_6 Geluid Realtek High Definition Audio Before my upgrade to z690 extreme I used the same media and writer under W10 and it worked flawless using IMGBURN. After the upgrade to Z690 Extreme I used two different programms to burn a 4.7GB bootable DVD being IMGBURN 2.5.8.0 and Ashampoo Free and I used TraxData DVD+R and Verbatim DVD+R to create a bootable DVD from an .ISO file. I used every thinkable combination of media and writers but never succeeded. Every try ended in error(s) and a bricked DVD. None of the combinations ever came to the verification point. Any help highly appreciated! |

Did you consider win 11 is the issue? Replace 11 with win 10, the same issue? This will test the hardware end of things.

What I did was following: . made a backup of my running w11 system . installed w10 on the system . installed Acronis and IMGBURN . created a recue iso with Acronis tools . burned the DVD with INGBURN . booted the system from the burned DVD It was a big surprise it was working as to be expected in W10. . looked in de w10 filerepository which Intel drivers were present especially iastorav, iastorv and iastorvd. . using a previously created Acronis USB boot stick I restored my system disk from the backup. . booted the system . using W11 diskclean I cleaned the C disk to get rid of unnecessary drivers. . created a rescue ISO with Acronis tools in the advanced mode and added the drivers iastorav, iastorv and iastorvd. . burned the DVD with IMGBURN . booted the system from the nurned DVD I was very happy to see that it now worked as expected and the burning processses were flawless. Hope anybody who encounters the same problems can use this solution of just using the advanced mode and adding the mentioned drivers. If you do not add these drivers no disks will be detected and the rescue will not work. |
