Hello to everyone,
I've bought an Asrock Extreme z690 motherboard and I'm happy with it, but unfortunately it seems there are no deep guides about it. Reviews with lot of photos are nice but not very helpful :)

I have the following questions/problems:

1) When booting the motherboard beeps 5 times (1 long, 4 short) if the monitor is off (using a displayport cable with the igpu). Is it possible to turn off this annoyng behaviour with a bios setting?

2)Default BCLK Frequency is way off 100mhz, i have to set this to 100,25 to have 100 in windows. But this means overclock and then the motherboard overvolt the cpu and xmp frequency for ram is not set.

3)Target speeds in bios are showing wrong speed for Cache when overclocking

4)"specific per-core overclock" should be a sub group of "per-core overclock"; I would like the prefered cores (the best) to go at the maxium ratio and not one at random... now it seems like that.

5)In the FIVR menu I've try to change the voltage with the vf offset mode (selection). Vf points from 7 to 11 show always 52 ratio regardless of the max ratio set (for ex 53).

6)Retrieve VID give me always different values, i don't understand how it works.

I think the motherboard have some potential but the bios needs more tuning.
Thanks

It would be best to use the ASRock support form
https://event.asrock.com/tsd.asp

When using gmail, please check your Spam folder
During boot UEFI sends out a signal, and all hardware, including your monitor, must reply with informationm, so it is already active during boot.
When Windows is active, Windows takes control, over the hardware
Kind Regards
