Hello All,
I installed two Samsung Pro 950 V-nand SSD's, 256 Gb and 512 Gb. I installed Win10 on the 512 Gb and is working fine. But the other one (near the processor) is not detectable within the Bios and in Windows. Even with the Samsung tools its not seen. I was wondering if this configuration works or do I install another type of SSD instead the one I want to use or should I modifiy some parameters in the Bios. Remark: I swapped the both SSD's than the 256 Gb is working correct and the 512 Gb not, so it's not a defect SSD. Config: 1 - i7-6800k 2 - 64 Gb Ram 3 - Pro 950 - 512 Gb 4 - Pro 950 - 256 Gb (not working) Thanks in advance. René |

J Z is right, check the specifications. That is a limitation with a 28 PCIe 3.0 lane processor: http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/X99%20Taichi/#Specification Depending upon what you are using for video cards, if you only use one, you could get an M.2 to PCIe slot adapter card for one of the 950 Pros, and mount it in the PCIE5 slot. |

Thanks for the reponse.
aha this make sense. I thought 28 lanes is enough for one videocard and two M.2. I will look for a M.2 to PCIe slot adapter. Greets,R. |
