Hi guys
does someone know these problem yet? I think its the same timing problem which the x79 extreme 6 had in the past (i think it was solved with beta bios 1.0b) If the graphics card run under pcie gen3 windows get flooted with whea 17 errors until bsod124. if i turn the pcie manually to gen1 the hole problems are gone, no whea no bsod. but thats not a solution thats only a workaround. is there a fix for the taichi yet? |

First of all, the issue of the normally corrected PCIe errors and messages seen in the Windows log is known to be a problem with the Intel X79 and X99 chipsets. This occurs with any and all X99 boards made by any manufacture. It is not only a problem with ASRock X99 boards. You actually get a BSOD on your PC? That is not what normally happens. I have an ASRock X99 Extreme6/3.1 board, and I have never had a BSOD caused by this issue. Also, given what I have read, UEFI/BIOS updates that supposedly fix this issue have not stopped the error messages from appearing in the Windows log. This issue may be a problem with the X99 (and X79) chipsets that Intel is unable to fix, and have classified as Errata in their documents. That means it may never be fixed completely. Do the messages you see in the Windows log say the errors were corrected or not? You have not given us any information about your PC besides you have an X99 Taichi board. What video card(s) do you use? Which PCIe slot are you using? Did you set that slot to Gen3 in the UEFI/BIOS? What version of Windows do you use? How often do you get BSODs? When do you get BSODs, any time or when gaming, for example? |

Yes its says the errors were corrected.
the PC specs are asrock x99 taichi, i7 6800k, Asus gtx1070 strix, corsair 2133 32gb kit, bequiet 700w straight power. I tryed all pcie slots with all the same. i set the solts to auto, gen3, gen2, gen1. only gen1 is working fine without errors and without bsod. I tryed win7 and win 10 the time when i get the bsod is not regular or constant. mostly i think its under flashvideo condition but not all time. But the bsod never occured under heavy load. |
