I am confused. I look up OC guides and they all say 1.4 volts is high. Which use to be on my i5 6600k and i5 3570k. This thing stock runs at 1.7 it says, and the def OC profile has the cpu voltage at 1.9. I put the def turbo at 4.2, and it seems stable, and only running 70c, but I have no idea what is going to far with it if 1.9 is what it is def?

Lol nvm that is cpu input voltage, never seen that before. Vcore is under another setting.

Welcome to Haswell/Broadwell processor architecture! You are not the first person to be scared by the seemingly insane level of "VCore", that is actually not the VCore. Very different than all other Intel processors, the final VCore voltage is produced by the CPU's own voltage regulators that are part of the CPU package. CPU Input Voltage should be at least ~0.6V above the VCore voltage. A CPU Input Voltage (Vccin) of 1.8V is nominal, a minimum of 1.47V and maximum of 1.85V by Intel specifications. The Absolute Maximum Vccin is 1.98V, although extreme over clockers will use more than that. |
