Due to majority of 6700K's having high VIDs of 1.40V+ the current maximum minus offset you can set is -100mV which isn't enough. All I need currently is 1.28V for my overclock, only having the maximum option -100mV gives me around 1.32~V which is to high for my clock. Was wondering if any rep for asrock reads these forums? A bios update to gives us more flexibility for offset voltages is a must right now, I'm currently stuck with using a fixed voltage which doesn't allow me to use the power saving options like C1E etc.
Please asrock! :( Edited by shredzy - 17 Aug 2015 at 12:07am |

Hi!
I just purchased the Z170 Gaming K6 and I have the same problem as OP. When I leave VCore Voltage on Auto it goes up to nearly 1.4V under load. That's why I want to use Offset Mode. With Offset on Auto the Voltage is at around 1.25V, which is OK. But I'd like to go a bit lower in Voltage, since my cpu still gets quite hot. The problem is that I somehow only can use a negative Offset of -100mV, which automatically gets filled in when I just type the minus character. I can't set the offset to any value between -100 and 0 mV. But positive Values are working just fine... To me this seems to be a bug and I'd appreciate if ASRock could confirm and fix this. |
