Hello, sorry for my English.
I will buy the asrock ab350m pro accompanied by an R5 1600. But I need help when choosing a compatible memory. My first choice is the crucial ballistix elite 2666 2x4 (QVL List) Where I live is very well priced. for $ 2 more I have the option to choose the crucial tactical 3000 2x4 (NO QVL List) More options but more expensive price .. corsair vengeance lpx 3000 cl15 and 3200 cl16 8gb 2x4 G.Skill Ripjaws V 3200 cl16 8gb 2x4 G.Skill Ripjaws V 3466 cl16 8gb 2x4 Team Group T-Force Dark 3000 cl15 8gb 2x4 Corsair Vengeance LED Red DDR4 3000MHz 16GB 2x8GB (on sale) Any suggestions ... I need help. Since the subject of memories with these microprocessors is very confusing Thank you.

I would suggest to only choose from the memory kits listed in the memory QVL. Also, if at all possible, try to get memory that uses Samsung B-die, as those will give you the best chance of running your memory at over 2933 MHz (check this page for more information on different memory kits: https://www.reddit.com/r/Amd/comments/62vp2g/clearing_up_any_samsung_bdie_confusion_eg_on/?st=jbey5oaf&sh=a3177dd7).

I tested and use Corsair CMK8GX4M2A2666C16 8 GIG ans it is working good and stable.. I am not sure if is it on QVL but i tested it also in another mb mfgr and worked fine. Vengeance LPX
http://www.corsair.com/en-us/vengeance-lpx-8gb-2x4gb-ddr4-dram-2666mhz-c16-memory-kit-black-cmk8gx4m2a2666c16 I am currently trying to test a stable setting on G skill f4-300015d-16GVKB that i bought before.. I noticed the board is finicky about memory running at or above 1.35v on memory sticks.. I run Ryzen 5 1400 and the ab350m pro4 board. |

My AB350M Pro4 has had no trouble running my memory sticks at 1.35V so far, although it has to be said that I haven't yet propely stress tested my system. The G.Skill memory you mention above uses Hynix M-die, which could be the cause, but even those dies can sometimes be good for 3200 MHz. Then "weak link" could also be the memory controller of your 1400 (at least in the sense that it doesn't like that particular RAM very much). You could try increasing the SOC voltage a bit, but you need to be careful with that since too high values can brick the motherboard. If you stay under 1.2V, you should be okay. |

Update: I had to rma memory, that had a defective stick and it is now working as intended, blazing fast 2933.. Stable and no issues. Noticed that timings changed from 15 cas to 16 on profile 1.

its a part of the basic bios with am4 by default it will NOT run an odd number for cas latency eg cl 15 or cl17 gets changed on bios boot to cl16 or cl18 respective with tweaking settings you can get it to run an odd number, but it takes time and a lot of patience and will most likely also increase the bios boot time by a great deal (e.g. end up with 30 seconds + before you even see the bios logo and windows booting screen after) for most guys its just not any worthwhile gain |
