Hello,

I am really quite frustrated !Dead

I changed my previous memory G.Skill RipJaws V schwarz DDR4-3200 DIMM (2 x 8GB), which I only got up to 2966MHz

by

Patriot Viper 4 Series DIMM Kit 16GB (2 x 8GB), DDR4-3400, CL16-18-18-36 (PV416G340C6K)

This memory was given in the QVL of the board with 3333MHz speed (btw where is the QVL meanwhile?? At the moment the list is just blank!! EDIT: Seemed to be a browser issue..)  and I hoped to reach at least 3200MHZ.

Today I installed the patriot memory but the pc does not boot! I get no screen and the pc restarts about every 10 secs. Debug display says 4b, which should be a memory issue. Same code is shown when I have no module installed!

Of course I tried only one module (in A2 slot), I reseted the CMOS but with no effect.

Is there anything more I can try?

Cry

My system:
ASRock Fatal1ty X370 Gaming X | AMD Ryzen7 1700X | Thermalright HR-02 Macho RevB | KFA2 GeForce GTX 1070 Ti EX 8GB | Seasonic FOCUS Plus 550 Platinum |

Hi, had a similar problem with the AB350 version, same RAM, now i'm running at 3333MHz on 4.40, every prior BIOS runs at 2133MHz for me.  Also I couldn't loggin to BIOS, this fixed it for me, as well as tweaking the BIOS a little bit (remove BIOS HD, remove AM4 "training boot", sorry i dont remember the names exactly and not near the pc):

Solution:
Instructions(for dummies):

1. Power off computer completely and disconnect power, remove any externally powered analog speaker cables hooked into the jack.
2. Press the power button for 15 seconds to discharge the capacitors. Discharge any static or wear a static wrist band and pop the case open.
3. Under the second x8 PCI-E slot and at the bottom center of the Mobo, you will see a 3-Pin connector with a jumper on it. Remove the jumper and move it ONE PIN to the right.
4. Wait 5 seconds and move the jumper ONE PIN to the left.
5. Reconnect power and boot.
6. UEFI ASRock Splash Screen will show once and one time only so hit F2/DEL and boot to UEFI **WHEN THE LOGO APPEARS** HITTING F2/DEL BEFORE THE LOGO APPEARS WILL CAUSE THE SPLASH SCREEN NOT TO APPEAR AND YOU WILL HAVE TO RESTART AT STEP 1!!
7. Once in UEFI navigate to "Advanced" and use the down arrow until you highlight "Full HD UEFI"
8. A selection box will appear, select disable and hit enter.
9. Navigate to the "Exit" tab and select "Save Changes and Exit"
*Computer reboots and may display the post screen or just go to Windows*

If no splash screen appears, do not worry this is a integrated fast boot feature windows uses.
