Hi!

I want to share my experiences with OC on BIOS 4.x. This is not a rant or problem topic, this is to share my experience.
I'm not hardcode OC dude, so my OC usually is rather mild, I'm even using stock cooler. Some may ask why I do it at all, to which I can answer - AMD has made all Ryzen's OCable, so I'm doing it, free performance must not be left of table :)
I have to note that I use Linux 99.95% of the time, for last half a year, 100%, but I do play games, native or in wine, but I do... Examples: Deus Ex, Doom 2016, Wolfenstein 2, Path of Exile, Diablo3, World of Tanks, ...

Many months ago I updated my BIOS from 3.x to 4.5, all went well, I was able to achieve the BEST OC so far which is:
* mild OC on CPU - I set OC to "Asrock setting", 3.7GHz, LLC LVL 3, +0.025V configured as offset, went to p-state OC, enabled pstate0, the rest configured as "Auto", as a result max 3.7GHz on all cores, it was self managing clocks from 1.3GHz - 3.7GHz nicely, no issues
* good OC on RAM - Loaded XMP, changed RAM speed from default 3200 to 2933, off I go, all went smooth w/o any issues
* disabled com ports and some things I don't need, such as onboard sound and PSP :)
* this was the easiest OC of all BIOSes so far, click click, done.

That was my daily OC which did not let me down.

I decided to upgrade from BIOS 4.5 to 4.6. Upgrade went well and I was able to do all the OC above, BUT to my surprise, CPU OC did not apply to ALL cores, it was enabled for ONE core only (according to /proc/cpuinfo). I changed settings here and there, but I was not able to OC to ALL cores. One core boosted to 3.7 and that's it.

I reverted to BIOS 4.5, OC works on ALL cores. Will be using it till next major update with a hope that new version won't hinder my OC capability.

So, if anyone else experienced a similar thing, please let me know, if it's possible to overcome this, please do reply how, maybe I was missing a thing or two.

BR,
Kirurgs
CPU: Ryzen 5600X
MB: Fatal1ty X370 Gaming K4 (BIOS 7.03)
RAM: CMK16GX4M2B3200C16, works with 3200 by default on 7.03 bios (previously I could not go higher than 2933)
