I recently bought a Z270 Killer SLI/ac because I wanted a motherboard with built in WiFi, but after getting everything setup the WiFi range is terrible not sure what the problem is (Bluetooth works fine). I built the computer using the parts off an old computer in which I wanted to upgrade the motherboard because it had a motherboard that would not allow me to overclock the i7-6700k. I tried installing the drivers from the ASRock website and that did not help. I also uninstalled and tried updating through the device manager and swapping the antennas, which also did not help. The only thing I think of is to do a clean install of Windows 10 because I am using the the hard drives from the old computer in this build without doing a clean install and maybe that is causing problems. I am also thinking that the M2 WiFi on this motherboard might just be either defective or of very bad quality. Any suggestions or insight would be very much appreciated, thanks.
