Hi guys, I'm new here.
I have a question to ask about my B450M with Tridentz 3000Mhz ram sticks. Why my system always shuts down and it will try to reboot but then shuts down again, usually about 3 cycles before it completely booted up normally. It always happened when I XMP the ram at 2993/3000Mhz. Can I actually really XMP my ram at 2933/3000Mhz? Or just max 2666Mhz? My set up; Ryzen 5 1600 B450M Pro 4 Tridentz RGB 16GB Kit 3000Mhz Evga GTX1070 FTW Cryorig Quad Lumi Super Flower ECO 600W 1x 7200rpm HDD 1x 2.5" SSD 4x Case fans Motherboard runs with the latest bios; ver1.20 Thank you!

When the system restarts 3 times it means the ram is not stable and would retry because thats the default boot failure attempt count.
i suggest telling the system specs and the ram's model number and check if its on the qvl list and how high it can run. |

There is also a new BIOS I believe. It's always worth a try.

New bios did nothing,my specs are
B450M-HDV Ryzen 5 2600 2x4GB ram Patriot Viper PV48G300C6K (wich is supported to 2933 as it shows on motherboards manual) GTX 1060 Corsair 750 watt psu 320G SSD So what happened is ,at start everything worked (even overclocking ram to 2933) but after playing a bit with the overclocking settings the system seems to strangely locked to 2133. |
