I have installed SSD on my Acer Aspire. I removed all the drives from PC except for new OS drive. Boot from USB stick and install on the blank drive. Add back other devices when the installation is complete. View www.acersupportnumber.com/blog/fix-windows-update-error-0x80070bc2-acer-laptop-windows-10/ for more information.

The problem seems to be in the Nov. release of Win 10. Lots of chatter, tried all the suggestions; none worked. MS tech was on remotely for 45 minutes and couldn't help. calling them again today if i have time.
I agree network setup is a big pain. This box was built to access media files on a NAS- which doesn't show up either. All other boxes and laptops are normal.

This is a new build Z370 Killer SLI/AC. Newegg bundle Combo: 3754278. Win10 installed from PCI.
I cannot see any other PCs in the directory tree, including a NAS box. Internet access is fine. I have 4 other PCs mix of Win 7 & 10, on the same NW. This box can't see anything but a Win7 laptop. I tried disabling the on board wifi in the bios, and could not get Windows to recognize a new plug- in wifi adaptor from another machine. Thanks for any suggestions. Cornell
