all 3 cant be in the same array especially when you havent set it up yet. If you are afraid then unplug the windows drive and create the array.

This is a newbie question so please bear with me...
I have a Taichi X470 board with the following: 1 480G SATA SSD, with Win10 Pro installed; 1 2T Seagate 5" SATA HDD -- Empty 1 3T WD red 5" SATA HDD -- Empty Now I am trying to setup RAID1 on the two 5" HDDs. The problem is, after in BIOS I switch the SATA mode from AHCI to RAID, and pressed Ctl-R at reboot into RAID configuration settings -- it gives me an array containing all three HDDs. When I tried to remove the SSD from the array, the system warns me all data on it will be erased, which is not what I want. Can someone give me a quick direction on what I should do instead? Thanks, |
