Yeah no more Asrock boards for me after this. Saving on a LED can be really expensive for a company in future sales.

And their BIOS support is abysmal, too. X470 Taichi is a flagship product that still has features the mobo is capable of missing in UEFI, and the UEFI UI is horribly messy.

And they know that RMA is a pain in the butt, since you would have to live without a motherboard for who knows how many weeks. For just a LED.

So most won't bother and ASRock knows it.

The issue has to be widespread when it has already happened to several people on these forums alone, and the percentage of ASRock owners who register here must be less than 1%. So it's a quality control issue they must know of, but have chosen to ignore. After all, if the LEDs work for a while before burning out, the problem won't show up in any product reviews.

i looked into it more by setting it white on the IO cover i'm correct as suspected one of the bulbs isnt working

set to all white and i get a orange/brownish tint so i tried to find out which one isnt working

in my case
blue led give out no colour on the IO sheild
blue led is weak on the pch heatsink
blue led is weak on the audio

nothing is wrong with the software it just means the bulb is burnt which should be expected when putting leds on hot parts

I have the exact same issue. Seems to be widespread.

All other LEDs on the mobo work fine but the IO shield can't show white. Mine is yellow and green when set to white.

The Polychrome software also adjusts colors wrong. When set to red it makes the LEDs green and vice versa.

Any fix for this?

I'm afraid you will have to contact for warranty/RMA.

I have only registered to reply!

YES, I have the same issue and it's also bothering me. I also have a X470 Taichi (non ultimate). When I set the IO Cover to white, for me it turns.. orange/yellow. Is this an issue with the motherboard? Did you manage to solve your issue?

Edit: ASRock support helped me figured out that my blue leds for the IO Cover were dead. You might have a similar issue.
