I have x370 Taichi, Rysen 7 2700x and Windows 7 (SP1 only, no updates). I see the same problems and I can too force bsod with prime95. Also I have same bsods (pci.sys, D1) when I save or open big files to/from RAID in Photoshop. Have you found kb number fixing this problem? BIOS P4.80 |

Yes, mostly default settings. I am not overclocking the CPU, and I am using the XMP settings for the GSkill Flare X 2400 RAM.

Yeah, I'm suspecting some kind of driver related problem. I have all the 'important' updates except the very latest "March Quality" rollup update. I have very few of the Optional ones. Do you have any idea around what date or month you updated to fix your BSODS (or maybe even the specific kb-numbers for that period in time?) and what BIOS version are you running? |

I had much the same problem with the X370 Killer SLI/ac and Windows 7. Then it seemed that one of Microsoft's updates cleared the problem..Do you have updates enabled or disabled?

Hello, guys!
Trying to get Windows 7 x64 working but I'm getting random BSOD's referencing pci.sys and D1. I can force a BSOD within a few seconds by running prime95 blend test with the default settings in BIOS. With SMT off in BIOS, the small FFT test passes, but blend still bsods. With SMT off and running prime on only 4 cores, it doesnt immediately BSOD, but if I add just one more core to the test the BSOD is immediate. With SMT off, c-state control off and core precision boost off and the CPU frequency set to 3700 MHz with a CPU voltage of 1.0V and Vcore set to Fixed/Auto, I'm able to run prime95 on blend for over an hour without any BSOD. With SMT off, c-state control off and core precision boost off and the CPU frequency set to 3900 MHz with a CPU voltage of 1.1V and Vcore set to Fixed/Auto, I'm able to run prime95 on blend between 2 to 20 minutes before a BSOD. Temps max out at around 58C. If I increase the voltage, the BSOD happens earlier, and if I decrease the voltage the system instead freezes during prime or during windows boot without a BSOD. Are there other BIOS tweaks I could try to stabilize this? What could the reason for this overall behavior be and does anyone have any idea on how to fix it? The system has successfully passed memtest86 tests and the BIOS version is 4.80. It is always the same pci.sys BSOD no matter what. |
