If I have AIO pump that's 0.21A, 12V, 3 pin pump connector should I be using it on one of the CPU fans with it set as a fan?

I read its not good to have the pump RPM go up and down so much with fluctuating temps and in the manual it supplies 2A on pump mode. Does pump mode do anything else different? By default when powering on the motherboard the fans startup at 100% speed so I may start the pump at 50% minimum.

I currently have my 2700x overclocked on a air cooler, but wanted to try to cool things down while trying to keep it quieter.
