ITKosta829 is correct, you won't see the 950 Pro in the UEFI/BIOS. You will find it in the boot order, and in the ASRock System Browser tool.
Newer ASRock boards with the Z97 and Z170 chipsets exhibit the same behavior in the UEFI. We've had SATA only as the single interface for storage controllers and drives for a while now. Suddenly we now have multiple, different storage controllers/protocols on the same platform. I agree that an updated UEFI UI is needed for our new drives. Don't forget that the UEFI/BIOS/firmware for mother boards is not provided by the mother board manufactures themselves. For example, ASRock uses AMI as their UEFI firmware provider. AMI and the others need to give us an updated UI for the new drives and interfaces/protocols. That may sound simple but there are no doubt many details that make it difficult. For now we are stuck with what we have. But as long as the important basic things are present, and we are aware of the situation, we can use these drives in our PCs. That is the most important factor IMO. |

You will not see it in BIOS.
Set the CSM to disabled. Disable your sata controllers. Prep Windows 8.1 to a UEFI bootable flash drive. Boot to the installer drive and you should see the M.2 Drive. create your partitions and install. It will take all of 5 min. Once windows is set up and you have your drivers set up, get back into BIOS and turn on your sata controllers so you can see your other drives. Hope that helps.
