I was able to install on the Plextor sata drive, but the Corsair still isn't showing up anywhere.

i have found that if you have any other storage disks installed other than the nvme, windows will fail to install. if you remove all drives except the nvme in question, i am always able to install.

In my case the ssd just insn't found in the bios. The ssd already had a clean windows 10 install on it from trying it in another system (Asrock B250M-HDV board), which worked fine.
I'm currently in the process of installing windows on a 2.5" Plextor SATA ssd. I'll see if I can get some other driver stuff installed that way and maybe the Corsair will pop up? |

Had the same problems with another asrock board. Which usb port to you use for the windows installation stick? Try the USB 2.0 ports next to the PS/2 port.

I'm having the same issue with a Corsair MP510 on that mobo, it seems to be really picky on what ssd's it supports.

I come here seeking help on a budget build.
The computer posted and boots up fine. I can navigate the BIOS as much as I want. I made a windows bootable UEFI usb stick. The windows installation process commences, I input my Windows code, and then I have to pick which hard drive to install on. It does not recognize my Crucial P1 NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD. It asks me to load a device driver, and this is where I am stuck. Some things: 1) Motherboard is ASRock B450M Pro4 https://www.asrock.com/MB/AMD/B450M%20Pro4/index.us.asp#Overview 2) I have the drive slotted in the Ultra M.2 slot for PCIe, not the SATA one. Additionally, it is the only hard drive I have installed on the board. SSD: https://www.crucial.com/usa/en/storage-ssd-p1 Build list: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/NKzVhy Let me know if I've forgotten to include some crucial information. Is my only option to grab my OS from another ssd from my other build, boot up windows, and clone it, or something like that? I've tried everything I can think of. The CD that came with the MOBO doesn't have the "device driver," when I try to find driver from the windows prompt. |
