The whole system worked for almost a year.
The GPU is a Radeon Pro WX7100. It still didn't start up. Memory lit up, but the power supply would not start the fans or anything else. When it did not start up, I thought it was the power supply, which I replaced. Then I set it aside and switch to another machine and forgot about it for a while as I didn't have time to troubleshoot. I eventually got a new power switch itself for the case from the manufacturer. It still didn't work. At this point, I think it's the motherboard. But I don't want to buy another motherboard to test that theory. So I'm stuck with a dead machine until I can migrate the memory/cpu to another board. I'd like the board to be replaced like for like, but I think I missed the window on warranty claims. Sheff |

That is confusing.
Do you mean, with the 600W PSU the system never booted and so you updated the PSU? Did you forget to install a GPU? I ask that, because some people obviously do not know, that the RYZEN 7 1700 does not have built in graphics support (more threads because of that here in the forum). |

The lights on the memory light up.
I've changed the power supply and the power switch itself. Is my board dead? What should I do? AMD RYZEN 7 1700 8-Core 3.0 GHz G.SKILL TridentZ RGB Series 32GB CORSAIR SF Series SF600 600W 80 PLUS GOLD upgraded to an 800W but it still doesn't start. Please advise. Sheff |
