My Samsung 950 Pro speeds are much lower than they should be, especially my random reads/writes. My previous AHCI drive (SM951) performed better...

Thought I'd post here also to see if there's something simple I'm missing on my board?

I have tried:
  • Uninstalled the WIN10 driver
  • Updated the Samsung NVMe driver
  • Checked my PCIE is running Gen 3 (Samsung Magician reports 10Gbps - should this be 32Gbps? Is the X99E limited?)
  • Updated the latest BIOS 1.40
  • Reset the BIOS/Cleared CMOS
The Samsung Magician screen shows it's running at <50% of the IOPS it should be...

Is there something simple I'm missing??

Also, since changing to the 950 the BIOS now hangs when saving with a white line up the top and strip of the BIOS screen at the bottom, as well as going through the Asrock splash screen twice when booting. Others are HardForum has reported these issues also (http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1855235&page=27).
