Hi. I need to add support for 6-10+ SATA3-disks. Currently I have 1 free M.2(NVME/NGFF) port and no free SATA ports. So I wand to add SAS/U.2 ports and split them on multiple SATA ports. I have found this thing, but it requires a PCIe slot bifurcation. Looks like stock BIOS on my motherboard doesnt support this, but I wonder if there is any workaround.
So my questions are: 1. Is there a way to make this card work on my motherboard? 2. If yes, then will those disks be available in IRST to be used in RAID? //Assume that SATA-disks will be connected directly to this card using splitter like this one. 3. If no, is there any other way to add more SATA-ports with no/low speed loss? 4. Any advices on 5.25 HDD Bay choosing?
