If you haven't run a memory tester such as memtest86, I suggest you do that ... will help determine whether the issue is memory or something else.

It could be a bum memory controller on the CPU .. or a faulty mobo... A2/B2 are generally what they tell you to use if only 2 slots .. but try A1/B1 I suppose.

Looks like you have matching memory sticks .. and even manually setting them you have same issue sooo ... a lengthy process if you ordered online, but rma the cpu and motherboard and see what happens with new setup maybe .. ? Hard to say definitively when you can't readily swap out parts to troubleshoot

Built this PC yesterday and am getting consistent crashes with any type of game. No BSOD, just a black screen followed by an automatic reboot.

System Specs:

Ryzen 3200G APU
ASRock B450M/AC motherboard
8 or 16 GB GEIL DDR4 2666 (PC4 21330) RAM, 2x 8GB sticks (GASB416GB2666C19DC)
Team Group GX2 512GB SSD (T253X2512G0C101)
EVGA 500W power supply (BR 100-BR-0500-K1)
Windows 10 home 64 bit (build 1903)

No discrete GPU. We'd been waiting for the new 5500 cards.

I'm dealing with 2 potentially related issues:
Issue 1: On initial power up with the Windows 10 install USB in place the system hung during install right where the spinning circular dots appear. At the time I had both 8 GB RAM sticks installed in slots A2 and B2. I ended up pulling the stick in B2 and was able to complete install and system setup. Later found that the system would run with EITHER RAM stick in slot A2 but if I tried to put either stick in B2 the system would hang during boot. I've done a Windows Memory Diagnostic check on both sticks and they've passed with no issues.
I have not yet tried putting the sticks in A1, B1.

Issue 2: The system crashes during games. We get about a minute or less in game and then a black screen. No BSOD, no error message, just a black screen for a moment and then the computer automatically restarts. Consistent with Overwatch and Apex Legends. Checking temps in BIOS immediately after crashes the CPU is at ~47-50C and the mobo is at ~28-30C. I don't think that's high enough to trigger a thermal shutdown. I had turned down the graphics settings to low understanding that we wouldn't get great framerates on integrated graphics but we shouldn't be crashing either. The system also appears to crash occasionally outside of games. I'll walk away from the computer and find that it's reset itself when I come back.

Troubleshooting so far:
a. Swapped RAM sticks in A2. No effect, system still crashes with either stick installed.
b. Reseated RAM - done many times while swapping sticks. No effect.
c. Check and re-connect all other component connections. No effect.
d. Updated BIOS to V1.2. No effect
e. Set BIOS RAM speed to 2400MHz. No effect.
f. Set BIOS RAM CAS latency 19 to match mfr value (19). BIOS AUTO setting had it at 20 for some reason. Also reset BIOS value to 2666MHz. No effect.
g. Changed out power supply for an old XFX 850 watt model that had worked for me for many years. System wouldn't even boot. May re-try this to see if I did something wrong.
h. Updated all system drivers (chipset, etc.) Should have started there but still no effect.

At this point I'm not sure what to try next. Clearing CMOS? Adjusting other RAM settings? Any thoughts?
