As the last poster said, not going to happen.

To use a CPU with on-chip graphics you will need a motherboard with video outputs. The X370 was designed with non-graphic cable CPUs in mind (Ryzen Gen.1) and for use with discreet PCI-e graphics cards.

There may be some crazy things that can be done to get the on-chip graphics to work alongside a discreet PCI-e GPU, but you'll probably need an AMD/ATI GPU for that and it probably won't be all that stable.

With a GTX1080 that will easily run rings around any on-chip graphics options.
I hear what you are saying though, if you can leverage the on-chip graphics for an OS that doesn't like nVidia it would be helpful. I doubt it will happen. No video outputs on the motherboard, so a convoluted way to make it work (if it did at all) is going to require the discreet GPU.

Why not just buy a cheap current gen. motherboard and slap that CPU in it? Grab a earlier gen. CPU and shove it in the X370 board. Happy camping for probably not a huge outlay in cash.

no way internal would run on a board that doesn't have video out

Can anybody help me figure out how I can get integrated graphics from my X370 Taichi and 3400G APU? The Taichi lacks an onboard HDMI port. I'm not entirely clear on how to proceed. I've gotten mixed answers, I'd really like to know my options.

I was hoping that perhaps I could have the iGPU graphics flow through my GTX 1080 HDMI output.

In the event that is not possible, what is the cheapest way for me to get some integrated graphics out of thie motherboard?

Do they make an adapter? Is there already an output on the motherboard that I'm just not seeing?

Sometimes I like to tinker with different operating systems, some that are not Nvidia friendly. If I can master this iGPU it would be a big help.

I'd be open to disabling the GTX 1080 or having both GPUs run at the same time.
