I assumed wrong for the number used to represent CPU and case fans at #1 and #2, hence I hope you realized they are just one of the example of how it can be used/configured.

There's no fix dead rules, use it however you like.

Regarding the #5 I recommended you to plug in GPU fan RPM is still a solid recommendation example.

You don't have to follow all the words/text exactly. Fans are fans whether it's CPU or GPU, as long as it's small like 12cm or 14cm. 20cm fans needs more power so high-end board like yours are OK, economy board may be not OK.

Usually the Optional fan/PUMP type are around 15 watts may be 20 watts (I forgot). You can find the details in the user manual and make sure to match to the type of pump you use/buy.

Hi @Humey,

I assumed you have used

#1 CPU fan for your CPU fan.
#2 case fan for your case fan.

hence

#4 is/can be a water pump to push liquid cooling into the CPU water block then to radiator, which the above #1 cpu fan cannot be used directly anymore, but instead installed on the radiator instead. If your radiator is 3 fans length long and push cool air in PLUS pull hot air out, then you can use 6 fans for the radiator. You'll need to buy a fan expandor circuit and plug the RPM signal into #1 and up to 10 fans can be connected to the expandor.

#3 is same as #4 but for GPU

#5 then the GPU fansx6 connected to a second expandor board will need to have one RPM signal connect to this #5

#11 & #12 search internet for pictures and you will know

#27 not repeat, but you can add a 3rd water pump, probably for a 2nd GPU, then the fans RPM need to be connect to #2.

First time building a computer and have some questions regarding some connectors on a x570 Taichi

Could you let me know what these do?

#3 Chasis/Waterpump Fan connector - What is this for
#4 CPU/Waterpump Fan Connector. - I am assuming this is connector if the cpu fan has a water pump?
#5 CPU Fan connector. - I am assuming this is to connector the cpu fan
#11 AMD Led Fan USB
#12 AMD Fan LED Header
#27 Chasis Water Pump Fan connector   Is this just a repeat of #3
