I have the exact same issue after reinstalling windows yesterday. It worked just fine on my old system, but after a fresh install of windows the drivers from the ASRock homepage f***ed up my audio.
The speakers and headphones run simultaneously. while the speakers sound broken, the microphone is super quiet and it sounds like i am standing in a another room. The new Windows version in combination with the outdated drivers from ASRock don't seem to work :(

I have tried driver 8838.1 that you provided and indeed there is no distortion even when both speakers and headphones are pluged in, realtek audio console also installed automaticaly and when i turned on Disable front panel popup dialog, sound was coming both through my speakers and through my headphones, which is normall i guess. Only one small issue that i have is there are no headphones listed in playback devices,i can only see speakers there when i click sound icon in taskbar, it just means that if i want to play sound only through my speakers i would have to unplug headhpones from front panel, and when i want to play sound through headphones i just plug them back in, on windows 10 stock audio drivers there are headphones and speakers both showing in playback devices and i can switch betwen them with one mouse click and separatly set their volumes. Again this is not a huge issue but maybe it can be fixed.

Dear Urosh,

Thanks for all of the information. The detailed information provided helped us to know the problem much better.

We have checked into the case, please try with audio driver ver.8838.1 from the link below:
https://drive.google.com/open?id=1C-OPsvuXjHS_VRYtlc_SBwiL_2ONKpVU

There should be no distortion sound with the driver after installed.

Also, please make sure that the internet can be accessed when installing the audio driver, so the Realtek audio console can be downloaded automatically.

To allow the sound coming from both of the audio port, please click the Device advanced settings on the bottom left corner of the Realtek console.

Then turn on the Disable front panel popup dialog, the sound should be heard from the rear panel even if the front audio device is connected.

Hopefully, with the driver, it can solve the issue encountered.
Let us know how it goes. Thanks!

With thanks,
ASRock TSD

One more thing i forgot to mention is that the problem with distortion with 8496 driver only ocures when headphones and speakers are both pluged in, if i unplug speakers from back panel then front panel headphones work normally without any distortions even with the 8496 driver, so it seems to me there is some conflict betwen front and back panel since windows doesent recognize them separatly,im just wild guessing since im no expert and this is my first pc build.

Here is another link for 8210 driver cus i think the one that i provided above is broken.

Hello ty for responding.

1. I am using 2.1 speaker system (Altec Lansing VS2721), its pluged in back panel and im using stereo headset (Hama Urage soundz essential) with two 3.5mm jacks that are pluged in the front panel.

2. BIOS version is latest 4.2

3. CPU is i5 8600k not overclocked

4. Distortions ocure when listening to any sound youtube, music games etc, its only happening when i am using latest audio driver for my motherboard which is provided on z370 extreme 4 download page : Realtek high definition audio driver ver:8496_UAD_WHQL, and its only happening when im using front panel, if i plug my headset in back panel with same driver installed the sound is normal then, also if i plug in speakers in front panel distortions also ocure. My other problem is there is no headphone recognition, so i cant select playback device like i used to be able before, only speakers are listed there. If i want to listen sound through my speakers i have to unplug headphones. When using windows 10 stock audio drivers both headset and speakers are normally recognized in playback devices and i can switch betwen them easely, but then for some reason the front panel mic jack is not working. And i just want to say that everything was working fine even with 8496 driver until the day that windows got updated to 1903 build.

5.   https://drivers.softpedia.com/get/SOUND-CARD/REALTEK/Realtek-High-Definition-Audio-Driver-6-0-1-8210-for-Windows-10-64-bit.shtml

Even with this 8210 driver , there is no headphone recognition and i havent found any driver that has that, only the windows 10 stock ones recognize headphones, but atleast there arent any distortions on the front panel, and most of older drivers work ok not only this one. Agaon, ty for responding cus i thought that no one from asrock will ever respond. If you need any more info just ask.

Dear Urosh,

Thanks for posting your query to ASRock forum.
Sorry to hear that you have some problems with audio noise.

Since we are not able to duplicate the problem, can you explain more about the issue?

1. What kindly of audio devices are used? (Model name)
2. Which BIOS version?
3. CPU
4. During what situation will the distortions occur?
5. Could you provide the link where audio driver ver.8210 can be downloaded?
We will compare it with current drivers with ver.8210.

*Plese be noted that all of the drivers from the website have been tested. If there are no changes/issues found, drivers from the website will be kept as it is.

With thanks,
ASRock TSD

The problem is that asrock audio drivers that are provided on asrock z370 download page are not compatible with 1903 build of windows 10 and newer.
Asrock knows this but they are ignoring it, many people posted topics with same issues as ours, most of them have z370 extreme 4 or taichi, and no one official from asrock has answered any of the posts even though they have read them, its really shame on the asrock side. I have been sending private messages to the asrock technical support guy on this forum to read my post but he is just ignoring it. So far there is no real solution, right now i am using some old audio driver ver. 8210, there is still no headphone recognition and i have to manualy unplug speakers if i want to use headphones but atleast the sound is good and there are no any distortions.

Hey, I also faced the same audio drivers' problem with my windows 10 operating system. That problem has occurred after the installation of the and for that problem, the system was running too slow and when I updated the system driver at that time faced the audio driver problem. I was so frustrated about that issue. I tried many possible processes but could not solve the problem.

Ive just tried linux, ive installed it alongside windows 10, everything worked out of the box, it showed both my headphones and speakers separatly and even the front panel mic worked, ive tested it with sound recording tool , so now im almoust 100 percent sure its not hardware issue, its some problem with audio driver and newer windows 10 versions, cus the day when this issue apeared was the day when i reinstalled windows and it automaticly updated to 1903 build, before that i used windows 10 1809 build with witch this audio driver from asrock worked normally without any problems. Whats also pointing to driver issues is that many motherboard manufacturers have for their audio drivers written under them that they work with 1903 and 1909 builds of windows 10, that probably means that the older drivers had some problems with newer versions of windows 10. The latest audio driver on asrock website for z370 extreme 4 and Taichi has last time been updated in 2018/8/9. Most other board manufacturers audio drivers have been updated couple months ago, right when 1903 and 1909 were released.
Anyway, ty for your help, atleast now i know its not a hardware problem.
