It's a tiny fan running at 6000 RPM stock, so yeah, it's loud. But luckily you can configure the fan curve based on the chipset temperature in UEFI. The X570 chipset max operating temperature is 90C, and since running it hotter does not really affect anything, I have the fan turned off until the chipset temp hits 75C, then the fan is set to run at 30%, which is hardly audible, at 80C it's 60%, and at 85C+ it should ramp to 100%, but so far I never heard it running at full blast outside of PC power on/reboot cycle.
According to the board's support page, the next UEFI release (currently in beta) will have adjusted chipset fan profile by default. |

Hi, I have a Taichi 570 board and since I had brought it the SB fan has a higher pitch buzz from it. Is this normal for this board? It seems to be louder than my CPU fans as its high pitch like a buzz. I built this system to be as quiet as possible and seems this is the noisiest part in the system.
Thanks. |
