Yeah i realised it had a flashback button after posting. There is nothing about it in the manual apart from a label on the button on one page.

I then found instructions online for a different asrock board.   However i cannot find any indication as to which usb port on the trx40 creator is the bios flashback one. Its not stated anywhere i can see.

I have the above motherboard and cpu on their way to me.   Ive just realised the cpu is only supported by bios 1.3 which was released after i ordered motherboard.

So i will recieve mobo which is incompatible with very, very expensive cpu.

Please can somebody offer a solution beyond "send the mobo back" or "get another threadripper"

When it says cpu is unsupported, will i at least be able to get to bios to flash it?

Im hoping for some good news...?
